Resources’ Depot Thrift Store is now home to a striking metal sculpture of two large saguaros which were donated by artist, Leon Boerup, and unveiled on August 14th, 2021. The sculpture is a beautiful example of public art that represents the majesty of the Sonoran Desert and its perseverance through good times and bad—just like the community of Vail. It will be enjoyed for years to come by Resources volunteers, shoppers, and all our neighbors “between the tracks.” Special thanks go to Leon Boerup and his brother, Kevin Boerup, publishers of Vail Lifestyle Magazine, for their ongoing support of Greater Vail Community Resources and Resources Vail Food Bank.
