For children experiencing food insecurity, the weekend can be a particular time of anxiety. When children are at school, they have access to free breakfast & free lunch. Over the weekend, the child may not have access to the quantity or quality of food they need to grow, body and mind. The Weekend Backpack Meal Program provides qualifying children with all the food they need over a weekend.

ReSources ended the 22/23 school year serving 328 children a week. Over the summer the need grew, and we started the 2023-2024 school year serving 335 children. We expect to serve 400 children by the end of 2023. Help us serve every child who has food needs.
